Comedian Kevin Hart surprises students at Booker T. Washington HS
One Dallas high school had a change in leadership Wednesday morning -- sort of.
Comedian Kevin Hart surprised students at Dallas ISD’s Booker T. Washington High School. He stepped in as ‘principal for the day’ at the performing arts school.
Hart is traveling the country to promote his new movie, ‘Night School,’ with producer Will Packer. They joked with the kids and conveyed the message of hard work and staying committed to your goals.
“It’s a great feeling. That would have been weird if they booed! that would have been weird. ‘No! Where’s Jay-Z? Beyonce? Flawless? nobody wants to see Kev!’” the comedian joked. “But really, it’s heartwarming. I love that the kids reacted the way they reacted. I love my fan base. Hard work pays off, and that’s what I’m preaching. I’m a prime example of it.”
Hart also gave the students tickets to a preview of his new movie that opens later this month.
