Bomb squad called for suspicious bag outside DPD headquarters

DALLAS - A suspicious package left in front of the Dallas Police Department’s headquarters did not have any explosives inside.

Instead, it was a gift bag that someone dropped off at the downtown location around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.

South Lamar Street was shut down while the bomb squad investigated the package.
