Big Tex taken down after 2019 State Fair of Texas
DALLAS - Wednesday was the day to say goodbye to Big Tex for another year.
The 55-foot-tall cowboy wrapped up his duties as the centerpiece for the State Fair of Texas when it concluded its 2019 run on Sunday.
Big Tex was taken down by a giant crane on Wednesday morning and disassembled by a team of workers.
He helped welcome more than two and a half million people to the fair this season.
