Arlington Police hope newly-released sketches will help them locate a man who allegedly assaulted a woman after breaking into her apartment.
The break-in happened in the 2200 block of East Park Row Drive before 1 p.m. on Monday. Police say the suspect got into a woman’s apartment and started attacking her. The woman told police he was originally wearing a scarf covering his face, but it came off during the scuffle.
The suspect’s most distinctive feature is the scarring on his forehead. Police believe he's a black man who is heavy set or has a muscular build. He is believed to be about six feet tall with slight facial hair. He was seen leaving in an older gray car.
“He has to be around out where people can see him,” said Sgt. Vanessa Harrison with the Arlington Police Department. “We think that the public can help us by getting a plate or an address.”
Anyone with information related to this offense is asked to contact Detective Becky Szatkowski at 817-459-5580. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.
