It was a wonderful day in Tarrant County for 52 children as a judge officially signed their adoptions in a large, annual event.

Friday was the 20th Tarrant County Adoption Day and for many families it was the culmination of years’ worth of effort to grow their families.

"We took in Mason and Madeline a little over a year ago and we have been waiting patiently for this day to come," said Brittany Gray, adoptive parent.

Another pair of children, siblings Amelia Thompson and Joseph Thompson, now are part of a family with four other sisters and a brother. they were all adopted, as well.

Diane Frame began fostering Amelia and Joseph, and after a year they were reunited with their birth mother. Then four months later, they were removed from her custody again and returned to this same foster family.

"These kids, they deserve love and a happy home and I’m glad I’m giving these kids that," Frame said.

Judge Lori DeAngelis gives full credit to all the people willing to get involved and make a difference.

"There are so many kids that are in foster care that need families. We appreciate everybody who is here today because they stepped up," DeAngelis said.
