A 16-year-old shot during a road rage incident in Haltom City last week has died.

Police in the Fort Worth suburb are still looking for the suspect. They released clear surveillance pictures this week of the vehicle they're looking for.

Flock cameras, business surveillance and home surveillance have provided police with multiple clear pictures of a vehicle they’re looking for in connection to a murder.

"A black 1999 Honda Accord with distinctive front end," described Haltom City Police Det. Matt Spillane. "A white or silver hood and white or silver front quarter panel.

Cameras got a clear picture of license plate FNV9986. Plus, the Honda has recognizable rims.

"It’s not the end all be all of evidence, but it is a very good piece," Spillane said.

On Sept. 15, a 16-year-old was shot while in the passenger seat in a road rage incident on Belknap Street. The teenager's older brother was driving.

Police say the victim’s vehicle, a Chrysler 300, pulled out of a parking lot in front of the driver of that Honda.

Seconds later, the Honda pulled up next to the Chrysler, and someone in the car opened fire.

Haltom City road rage shooting leaves boy, 16, fighting for his life in hospital

A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a suspected road rage shooting in Haltom City.

After more than a week in a Fort Worth hospital, the 16-year-old died from his injuries Monday afternoon.

The teenager has been identified as 16-year-old Raul Gonzalez of Haltom City, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Raul's family tells FOX 4 the teenager recently moved from Mexico to Haltom city. Raul, his older brother and their dad were staying with extended family.

Tuesday, Haltom City police released photos to the public of the vehicle they’re looking for.

Detectives believe four young men were inside the suspect vehicle that’s now at the center of a murder investigation.

"We need to give closure to this family. We need to bring whoever did this to justice," Det. Spillane said. "A child, a young man lost his life for no seemingly no reason."

Since the surveillance stills have a clear license plate, the plate was entered into the law enforcement database so other agencies are aware to look out for the vehicle.

Anyone who spots it or who has information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Haltom City Police Department at 817-222-7000.
