Children's Hospital Heroes: Megan Stewart
A 19-year-old from Flower Mound has dreams of being a Broadway star. She has the talent, the determination and quite a story.
Megan Stewart had a tumor on her ribcage removed at Children’s Medical Center when she 3 years old. She has been cancer free since then and is now a student at Belmont University. She plays the piano, sings and hopes to one day land a Broadway role.
As way to give back, her father is spearheading Kidstruction Week at Children’s. The fundraising initiative enlists the support of North Texas’ architectural, engineering and construction industries. Companies will create avenues for their employees to donate to Children’s during Kidstruction Week in March.
