It's only Wednesday, but all eyes on the weekend for our next weather change!

Today through Friday will be the "usual". Mid 90s today, with mid to a few upper 90s Thu and Fri. with mostly sunny skies and a few afternoon clouds. Rain chances are pretty minimal as well...just 10% SE today and a very low 10% coverage mainly DFW east Thu-Fri.

It gets interesting this weekend as a well-advertised pattern shift to a "northerly" flow develops. That will pull a weak cold front onto the Red River by Saturday, with storms in Oklahoma Friday night possibly arriving during the day on Saturday. At this time, coverage still 30% (esp DFW N) but may end up being higher.

As the front slows down and stalls over NTX Sunday, other storms are possible, esp MPLEX and south. Clouds will also keep temps down a bit.

The system weakens Monday with a few lingering storms, then dries up by mid-week next week although nothing too hot in the forecast.
