New Year's Eve Forecast: Cold front to send temps tumbling

DALLAS - A cold front is expected to move through North Texas on Monday night, and it will cool things down for your New Year's Eve.

Things will be chilly in the morning hours in North Texas and seasonably cool in the afternoon.

High temperatures are expected to reach 58 on Tuesday, with lows at 44.

If you are going out for a New Year's Eve celebration, you're going to want to bring a jacket.

At midnight, temperatures will be around 43 degrees, with a 6 to 12 mph breeze.

If your party keeps going, those temperatures will keep tumbling through the night.

The best news is that things will be dry.

2025 will begin much cooler than 2024 ended.

Highs will stay in the 50s for most of the work week and lows in the mornings will be down in the 30s.

Rain chances will pick up Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Early next week we could see high temperatures in the 40s.
