DALLAS - A cluster of storms briefly brought rain to parts of the DFW metroplex, but the severe weather threat has moved on into East Texas.
A Tornado Warning was issued for Van Zandt County until 8:15 p.m., but rotation decreased significantly and was allowed to expire.
A Tornado Warning was also issued for southeastern portions of Hunt County around 6:30 p.m. after radar-indicated rotation was spotted. It was allowed to expire at 7:15 p.m. The main threat to the area was damaging winds and large hail.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for southeastern portions of Hunt County until 7:15 p.m. Monday.

Rain began falling on Monday afternoon as a complex dropped down from Kansas and Oklahoma. The storms are not expected to reach the DFW Metroplex.
A Flash Flood Warning was issued for Collin, Dallas, and Rockwall County until 8:00 p.m. It has since expired.

Tuesday will again be hot and muggy, but storm-free.
Storms may come in at night into Wednesday morning with a week front. The rest of Wednesday will likely be quiet.
Thursday has a 20% chance of rain, especially near the Red River.
Then on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, higher storm chances return.
