North Texans are expected to wake up to record-breaking low temperatures on Tuesday morning.
This comes just a day after some areas saw 2 inches of snow.
Here's what we expect to happen over the next few days.

Tuesday Forecast: Record-breaking cold?

Things will be dry on Tuesday, but it will still be bitterly cold with early morning wind chills in the single or negative digits.
FOX 4 Weather Meteorologist Evan Andrews said the predicted overnight low temperature was a record-breaking 10 degrees. But so far, we haven't hit that temperature.
"The clouds that came in, a lovely band of clouds, is drifting through. It's not producing snow. There's no lake effect. There's none of that. But the thing about it is it kept us up overnight," Evan said.
Even if we don't break or tie the record of 11 degrees, it's going to be a frigid morning.

After the sun comes up, things will improve a little. Temperatures are expected to get into the mid to upper 20s by the afternoon with much less wind.
"After about 3 or 4 o'clock, I think you'll be like, ‘Yeah, it feels a little better out there,'" Evan said.
Wednesday Forecast: Finally above freezing
Temperatures will start out below freezing on Wednesday morning, but should climb above 32 degrees by 10 or 11 a.m.
Overall, we expect to spend about 88 hours below freezing.
That's well short of the record 295 hours we spent below freezing in 1983.
