Dallas weather: How much snow has fallen in North Texas?

Parts of North Texas have already seen a significant amount of snow, with more expected in the coming hours.

Snow has been falling in Denton and Collin County for a decent amount of the day, while Tarrant County and Dallas County have seen less snow.

Snow Totals (as of 9 p.m.)

Areas like Prosper and Bonham saw six inches of snow or more reported by 9 p.m.

McKinney saw 4 inches of snow.

Plano has seen 3 inches of snow and Addison has seen a reported 2 inches.

Future Snow Totals

We have increased our projected snow totals across the area.

We now believe there will be 6 to 9 inches of snow to the north and east.

Much of DFW is now in the 2 to 5 inch range, while areas to our south could see an inch or less.

Temperatures have inched up above freezing for many, with most areas seeing rain or sleet with some flakes.

Our precipitation will turn back to snow after sunset from west to east and will get heavier overnight.

This is how much more snow we expect to see after 10 p.m.

Most of our area will see 1 to 3 extra inches of snow tonight into early Friday morning.

The heaviest snowfall will be to the north and east.

Areas to the south and west will see an inch or less.
