Private company hoping to land spacecraft on the moon

A spacecraft is now on its way to the moon. If all goes as planned, the Peregrine lander will be the first U.S. lunar lander since Apollo 17 in 1972. And if it's successful, it will collect data and survey the moon's surface before astronauts make the journey.
