While kids hurried to get into a warm building, some people had to stick it out much longer to get them safely inside: school crossing guards.

The largest school districts have already announced plans to hold classes as normal on Wednesday, but some more rural schools have announced delays and closings.

Some drivers in Denton County were caught off guard passing through North Texas as it welcomed a piercing arctic blast.
