As Uvalde CISD students head back to school. the Texas Office of Inspector General is looking into the actions of five DPS officers who responded to the scene that fateful day. One expert says that may be just the beginning.

The Uvalde school district delayed this year’s start so it could continue improving security. But three months after the state’s deadliest school shooting, only one of eight campuses had an unscalable fence fully installed. Other security measures remain unfinished.

Uvalde CISD classes will begin Tuesday as students return to the classroom for the first time since the shooting at Robb Elementary School.

Parents received an update about the district's security and support plan on Monday. The changes include more counselors on campuses, fencing surrounding schools, DPS troopers on campuses and extra security cameras. Families who attended the meeting weren't impressed.
