Adolis Garcia broke an MLB record during the ALCS

Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis Garcia broke a few records in his epic performance this postseason.

Garcia drove in 15 runs in the ALCS against Houston, setting an MLB record for the most RBI a postseason series ever.

He broke the record set by another Rangers right fielder, Nelson Cruz.

Cruz drove in 13 runs in the 2011 ALCS against the Detroit Tigers.

Garcia also set a Rangers record for the most RBI by a Ranger in the postseason.

The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros will square off in a winner-take-all Game 7 in Houston on Monday night with a trip to the World Series up for grabs.

El Bombi, as he's known, has driven in 20 runs in 12 games in the playoffs.

Nelson Cruz was the previous record holder with 16 RBI in 17 games.

The 20 RBI ties his Rangers teammate Corey Seager for the second-most of all time in a postseason. Seager drove in 20 runs when he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020.

The all-time record for RBI in a postseason is David Freese in the 2011 postseason that many Rangers fans would like to forget.

Garcia was named the 2023 American League Championship Series MVP.
