
Megan Boyd
Megan Boyd joined Fox 4 in June of 2024 as an Assignment Editor.
In her current role, Megan finds stories, sources, mugshots, police reports and court documents that are used in coverage daily. She provides on-air updates on those findings for breaking news stories.
Prior to coming to Dallas, Megan spent five years at KWTX in Waco where she worked in several roles and earned multiple regional awards for her reporting. She worked as a multi-media journalist, launched, anchored and produced the station's new weekend morning newscast, and established a breaking news desk she anchored and produced on the weekday morning show.
In Waco, Megan reported through the COVID-19 pandemic and its vast impacts on the community. She spent years following the disappearance, brutal death and ensuing investigation of Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen. Megan covered a high-profile fatal officer-involved shooting, reported on an EF-2 tornado that ripped through her own neighborhood and took multiple trips to the Texas, Mexico border to report on immigration issues.
Megan also has a passion for education reporting. She founded KWTX's Making the Grade investigative unit and led a team of journalists reporting on key education issues in the region and state that have continued since her departure.
Before working in Waco, Megan was a reporter at WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia where she won multiple regional awards for her coverage of a historic warehouse fire that burned for eight days.
Her first job out of college was as a social media producer for the AT&T Sports Net Pittsburgh, working in the live production truck for Pittsburgh Pirates home games.
Megan's favorite role of her career has been the role of Mom, which she earned when she welcomed her first son in April of 2025. She and her husband have loved starting their family in DFW and enjoy exploring the area with their son and German Shepherd, Steel.
Megan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and considers herself a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan. She has a degree in Journalism and Sports Management from Ohio University.
