Gabby Brewster
I have always been known as the girl behind the camera. My dad was a news photographer, so I spent every possible moment making commercials and skits with his professional camera gear at the ripe age of 6. A few decades later, I am still making commercials and skits, but now I get paid for it.
I started out my career at WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During my time there as a creative services producer, I quickly fell in love with working in local news. There is something really magical about serving the community you grew up in.
In 2021, I won both an Emmy and a Gold Telly Award as a filmmaker and drone pilot for "The aftermath of Hurricane Ida".
I joined the FOX 4 news team as the Senior Promotions Producer in 2022. When I made the official move to DFW from Baton Rouge, I jokingly pitched the idea of filming my journey as I explored my new home state. What started as a joke quickly became reality, and thus The Texas To Do List was born!
You can still find me behind the camera, writing and filming skits that our on-air talent is forced to participate in. When I am not making promos, that is when you will find me filming, hosting, and editing new episodes of the Texas To Do List. Nothing brings me more joy than to give my platform to local businesses!
I also am the puppy raiser for FOX 4’s guide dog in training, Poppy. She lives with me and goes everywhere that I go. Poppy is the absolute best and I am so lucky to be her person.
When I am not doing all of those things listed above, I am most likely playing video games with my husband at home while our cats are yelling at us to feed them.
