Woman killed in Arlington crash; speed, seatbelt suspected factors

What we know:

A woman died in a car crash early Wednesday in Arlington, and police believe she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Officers responded to the single-car crash just after midnight in the 2800 block of North Collins Street.

Police found a 2018 Kia Forte with significant damage after it collided with a light pole in the northwest corner of the intersection. Investigators say the 30-year-old driver drove off the road, went over a curb, and struck the pole.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe speed and failure to wear a seatbelt were contributing factors.
