False UT-Arlington bomb threat under investigation
The University of Texas at Arlington returned to normal operations Tuesday following a bomb scare that forced several evacuations.
ARLINGTON, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington will be back to normal operations Tuesday following a bomb scare that forced several evacuations, but UTA was not the only University that dealt with such a threat.
Campus police said they received several threats on Monday.
They cleared four residence halls and apartments on campus.
Displaced students were instructed to report the campus activities center, otherwise the university continued normal operations.
After a thorough search involving Arlington's fire department, the all-clear was issued around 8:30 Monday night.
All campus operations will return to normal on Tuesday.
There was a similar situation on Monday at Texas State University near Austin.
UTA is offering mental health and counseling services for anyone who needs them following the scare.
