UNT football player arrested after hit-and-run
DENTON, Texas - A University of North Texas football player turned himself in Friday after fleeing the scene of a serious crash.
Denton police spokesman Ryan Grelle said 20-year-old Darvin Kidsy was driving when the crash happened on Dec. 5. One person was critically injured and another had less serious injuries.
Police aren’t released further details because they are still working on arresting a second suspect.
According to Kidsy’s bio on the UNT website, he is a senior wide receiver from Missouri City, Texas. During the 2015 season he played 11 games for the Mean Green and caught 17 passes for 240 yards.
He is now facing charges for causing an accident that involved personal injury or death.
