UF football alum and NFL star, Tim Tebow, and wife announce they're expecting first child

University of Florida football alum and retired NFL star, Tim Tebow, and his wife, Demi-Leigh, are expecting their first child, according to their exclusive interview with PEOPLE Magazine

"We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together," Demi-Leigh, 29, told PEOPLE.

The couple later took to social media to make their public announcement.

Who is Tim Tebow?

What we know: Tim Tebow, 37, is a former NFL quarterback, college football star and professional baseball player. 

He gained national attention as the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback for the University of Florida, where he led the team to two national championships.

Born and raised in Sedgefield, South Africa, she became the second woman from her country to win the prestigious crown. 

Demi-Leigh is known for her advocacy work, particularly in promoting self-confidence and safety for women through her "Unbreakable" campaign, which focuses on self-defense and empowerment.
