Thanksgiving Tower in Downtown Dallas evacuated after bomb threat
Police evacuated the Thanksgiving Tower in Downtown Dallas after a reported bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.
According to Dallas police, an employee said they were on the phone with an out-of-state client when the client became upset and made threats to blow up the building.
The building was evacuated around 6 p.m. as police checked the building with search dogs.
"You see all the police cars and everyone standing by is a little nerve-wracking, especially in light of what's been happening in the world," said Ashley Stanley, who lives near the building.
Police determined the threat was a hoax.
Roads around the building were closed off as police investigated the threat.
