Suspect in Fort Worth murder also served time for murdering brother
FORT WORTH, Texas - A man is charged with murder for a deadly shooting in Fort Worth.
Morris Lewis Breakfield allegedly shot and killed 25-year-old Devante Moore in a parking lot near Eastchase Boulevard and Meadowbrook Drive back in March.
The Dallas Morning News reports Breakfield was also arrested in 2008 for murdering his brother in an Arlington apartment.
He reached a plea deal in that case and was sentenced to just five years of deferred adjudication probation. His probation was revoked in 2010, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Breakfield is currently being held in the Tarrant County jail. His bond was set at $500,000.
