Student charged for making threat against North Texas school
IRVING, Texas - Irving police charged a 14-year-old student for making a threat toward Singley Academy.
Police and the district learned the 9th grade boy told classmates on Tuesday that he would shoot up the school.
It was not reported until Thursday.
Police say the boy has since told a school resource officer he did make that threat, but only wanted to scare other students.
The teen has been suspended.
