A North Texas mother is charged with human trafficking and is now tied to a man who is accused of taking sexual pictures of children all over the country and selling them using social media.

A Collin County woman was sentenced to 32 years in prison for her role in a scheme to produce child pornography.

Stacey Jurik was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Prosecutors said she manipulated an underage girl to pose for explicit photos and videos.

"What Jurik put this child through is unthinkably disgusting. Then to also profit from the pornographic pictures of the child makes us all want to throw up," said Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis after sentencing.

The photographer, Grant Durtschi, allegedly traveled from state to state photographing children as they posed partially and fully nude. He would then sell their pictures to pedophiles on social media.

Prosecutors said Durtschi contacted Jurik in 2021. In the year that followed, she brought an 8-year-old girl to him for several photo shoots.

"Jurik would discuss the ideas and themes for the photo shoots with Durtschi beforehand. These included the child posing both partially and fully nude and taking part in simulated sexual acts. At the photo shoots themselves, Jurik would prepare the child for and position the child in these sexually explicit poses. Jurik would remain for the entirety of the photo shoots and assist Durtschi in getting the child to cooperate with the photos," the district attorney's office said.

Jurik was paid for the photo shoots and earned a percentage of the proceeds from the photo sales, prosecutors said.

Durtschi pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in March related to a different victim.
