DALLAS - Dallas police are looking for a violent robber who tied up three people inside a home and shot two of them. One man died from his injuries.
It happened over the weekend in the Red Bird neighborhood of Dallas.
Police say a woman suffering gunshot wounds escaped from the home and screamed for help.
Mario Gordon walked out to see a woman with only a t-shirt on in the alley, bleeding and begging for help. He called 911. And sat with the woman until paramedics arrived.
"This area, you could see she was shot at. I couldn’t really tell if there was a head shot, but blood was coming from her head. And she was telling me she was shot in the head," he Said.
Investigators confirmed the woman who Gordon helped had been shot. They say she escaped a home on Medalist Drive near Polk Street and Camp Wisdom Road.
Around 11 a.m. Saturday morning, Dallas police entered the home and found two men tied up inside.
One man, 30-year-old Deleon Williams, had been shot and killed. The second man was not injured. So far, no suspects have been arrested.
"I was shocked when I found out what else they found down there. That blew me away. That was totally unexpected for me," Gordon said.
Dallas police believe the victims were robbed.
Investigators say the victims did know the suspect or suspects, and there was no sign of forced entry.
Therefore, confirming this was not random.
DPD wouldn’t go into detail how everyone knew other or what may have led up to the shooting.
However, some neighbors tell FOX 4 the two men found tied up were father and son who lived in the home together.
Police say the woman Gordon helped remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday. Gordan says he did not recognize her. He just moved to Dallas from Georgia.
"How she made it down this way. How she was able to walk or anything, only God knows," Gordon said.
