WAXAHACHIE, Texas - Interstate 35E near Waxahachie is open again after an overnight chain reaction crash.
Several people were hurt when a truck slammed into an SUV around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. That set off a series of collisions that involved two other trucks.
Three people were airlifted to local hospitals. Several more people were taken to hospitals by ground ambulance. The conditions of the victims were not released.
The crash also caused a large fuel spill that needed to be cleaned up. All lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours.
