Serial bank robbers target Dallas bank
DALLAS - Police are looking for two armed men who robbed a Dallas bank Wednesday morning and are believed to be responsible for at least nine other bank robberies.
The latest robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Bank of Texas on Live Oak Street, where shots were fired but no one was injured.
The armed suspects, described as two white males, fled the scene in a dark-colored Dodge Challenger. Police found a car matching that description but did not find the suspects.
One suspect is described as a blond white male in his late 20’s or early 30’s and at least 6 feet tall. He has worn a sweatshirt or jacket in each robbery with a ball cap or sunglasses to conceal his identity.
The second suspect is described as a white male about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black ball cap, black ski mask only covering the lower part of his face and was armed with a revolver.
Police believe the two suspects are responsible for up to nine bank robberies in the Dallas area and one bank robbery in Fort Smith, Arkansas since mid-December.

- December 14 – Wells Fargo Bank – 4301 Lovers Lane, University Park, Texas
- December 12 – Bank of America – 4023 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas, Texas
In all of the robberies, police say the suspects demanded money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash before running away. In most robberies, the suspects showed a gun to the bank clerks but did not injure anyone.
North Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the suspects’ arrests. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is urged to call North Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-TIPS (8477).
