Rowlett Police say they are focused on three people who may know more about the murder of a 37-year-old mother.

Laura Grillo was shot in the head inside her home last November. Police have now named a second person of interest who, like the first person of interest named, is no stranger to Grillo or her fiancé. The third person has not been named.

James Villeda and Jesus Trevino are convicted sex offenders and both knew the victim. They were employees who worked for her and her fiancé’s home remodeling business.

“At this point, we speak for Laura. We want to find who killed her and bring them to justice,” Det. Cruz Hernandez with Rowlett Police said.

Villeda is, for now, being held in a private prison facility in East Texas for a separate marijuana charge that goes against his sex offender status.  Trevino remains on the run.

“The police investigation indicates [Villeda] was with Jesus Trevino the morning of the murder. He's been unable to explain the information gathered by Rowlett Police,” Hernandez said.

Police say Trevin worked for Grillo and her fiancé and was going to be groomsmen in the couple's wedding the following week.

In February, Grillo's fiancé told Fox4 he was shocked when police called Trevino a person of interest. On Monday, he told us by phone he didn't know the second man and that he'd only worked for their home remodeling business a couple of weeks before Grillo was killed.

Police say Villeda and Trevino both have a criminal history. Police say Villeda had told them Trevino referred him for the job. Rowlett police hope they can find Trevino for further questioning.

There is a $5,000 reward for information.
