Rockwall County was honored this week by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Rockwall is the first county in Texas to become an "IMAGE" member.

This stands for "ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers."

The program was established 12 years ago to combat unlawful employment and reduce situations that allow illegal immigrants to get jobs.

Rockwall County was presented a certificate on Monday by the special agent in charge of ICE in North Texas.
