Woman shot man in Dallas road rage incident
More updates on the alleged road rage shooting in Oak Cliff Tuesday night.
DALLAS - A woman is facing charges after shooting a man during an alleged road rage incident on a Dallas freeway Tuesday night.
Dallas police said two women in a white sedan and a man in an SUV got into an altercation on an exit ramp off LBJ Freeway at Lancaster Road around 10:50 p.m.
The suspect, 44-year-old Latuita Holland, fired shots at the man's SUV, hitting his back window.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the man stopped in the middle of the exit ramp and got out of his vehicle.
Holland told police the man walked towards her vehicle and "acted like he had something in his hand so therefore she fired one round at [his] abdomen," the affidavit states.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is in critical condition.
Police said he did not have a weapon on him.
Originally, police said they were investigating whether Holland acted in self-defense.
She has since been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
