Prosper cheerleader hurt in freak accident moves to rehab facility
PROSPER, Texas - The Prosper cheerleader injured in a tumbling accident is now being transferred to a rehabilitation facility.
Wednesday was also Makayla Noble's seventeenth birthday.
Makayla suffered a severe spinal cord injury while tumbling late last month. Doctors say it’s still too early to know if she'll ever walk again.
Before Makayla left, the EMTs who treated her visited her in the hospital. She sent a message to everyone following her recovery with help from her mother.
"Hey everyone! I have my mom translating for me because I can't talk. But I want to say hi and thank you for all the love and support," she said.
Thousands of people around the world are cheering her on, including a cheer squad from Budapest, Hungary, who wore purple at practice in her honor.
