PLANO, Texas - Plano police say a man has been charged with murdering his mother.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon in an apartment on Dogwood Place.
Police responded to the scene and found 54-year-old Rene TImmons dead.
On Friday morning, police announced that they charged Robert Lee Timmons, her son, has been charged with murder.
Records show Robert Timmons had previously been charged with family violence in 2016.

Police say the victim, 16-year-old Luis Luna, was taken to Cooks Hospital where he died.
Police did not release any more information about the incident.
