Thunderstorms in the area caused flights to be delayed or canceled at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

What We Know: Travelers looking to catch a flight out of the Dallas area were met with delays and some cancelations after a line of thunderstorms came through the area Thursday afternoon.
Despite the delays, travelers were in good spirits and determined not to let the setback ruin the holidays.
What They're Saying: Ron Lehman was trying to get to Israel to visit his four grandchildren.
"They put us on another flight this afternoon," Lehman said. "That got rained out here in beautiful, sunny Dallas, and now we're going to Philly then to Paris."
Lehman said the delay might cause a long layover in the French capitol.
"If we can't get into Israel today or tomorrow, then we have to spend three nights in Paris, so viva la difference," Lehman said.
By The Numbers: According to flight tracking website Flight Aware, nearly 90 flights out of DFW Airport were delayed and more than two dozen were canceled. Love Field also experienced canceled flights.
According to AAA, over 119 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more during the 2024 Christmas and New Year holiday period.
The number of travelers is expected to break the record, set in 2019.
