McDonald’s across North Texas will offer free breakfast to students and teachers who are preparing for the annual STAAR test.
On April 10 from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., McDonald’s of North Texas will give free meals third through eighth graders and their teachers. Restaurants in the Austin, Waco, San Antonio and Houston area will also be giving free meals.
Students will get their choice of an egg white McMuffin or fruit and maple oatmeal plus apple slices and a choice of milk or apple juice.
The offer is only available for dine-in customers and will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Teachers can get a free breakfast offer as well with a school ID.
"Supporting education and giving back to our local communities is at the core of the McDonald's business," said Joe Jasper, a local McDonald's owner. "We're passionate about providing nutritious food options for busy people, and especially proud of our STAAR Free Breakfast program, which can give kids the morning boost they need to achieve greater academic success."
Check with your local McDonald’s for final details about the free breakfast program.
