North East Mall in Hurst placed on lockdown after suspects pull out guns

Two suspects were arrested after pulling out guns at North East Mall in Hurst on Sunday.

What We Know: Officers were called to the food court of the mall after they were told someone had fired a weapon.

The officers called for backup and the mall was put on lockdown.

Officers later learned that no weapon was ever fired.

Investigators say two males had been involved in a verbal argument and both men pulled out handguns. No shots were fired.

Both men were detained by officers at different locations near the area.

The two men are charged with disorderly conduct and could face other charges.

The mall has returned to normal operations.
