An unusually active day for SWAT and police standoffs around North Texas ended with at least one suspect dead.

Officers in tactical gear shot dead a suspect outside a trailer home off Highway 274 and CR 4044 near the border of Kaufman and Henderson counties.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said a man got into an argument with a neighbor and shot him before the standoff started around 8 a.m. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Video from SKY 4 showed SWAT vehicles and dozens of officers around the home, which was near a church and gas station. The sheriff’s departments for Kaufman and Henderson counties, as well as police from Kemp and Seven Points, were involved in the standoff.

There was also something going on in southeast Arlington near Highway 360 and Arkansas Lane. A viewer said police surrounded a home there at 6 a.m.

A FOX 4 photographer counted about 10 police units at the scene and watched as officers took a young boy from a home.

Arlington police have not released any official details, but an officer at the scene said the raid is related to an FBI investigation.

In Dallas, viewers have reported seeing SWAT officers at two locations. One was at Madison Avenue and Sixth Street in north Oak Cliff. The other was at Fort Worth Avenue and Bahama Drive in West Oak Cliff.

At the Madison Avenue scene, a FOX 4 photographer saw Dallas police officers, as well as ATF and FBI agents, going through vehicles and bagging stuff up. Several vehicles were towed.

In southwest Fort Worth, there was a domestic disturbance around 6:30 a.m. that led to a standoff. Police surrounded a house near Southwest and Vickery boulevards and eventually took a suicidal suspect into custody around 9 a.m.
