For the second night in a row, pilots were hit by lasers on Thursday as they approached Dallas Love Field.
A private jet pilot reported his laser strike just before 7 p.m.
The other jet impacted was a Southwest Airlines flight. The pilot of the Southwest plane reported a laser strike just a few minutes after the first one was reported.
A third pilot, who was flying a Cessna 172, reported seeing a laser just before 9:15 p.m.
The Dallas Police Department launched its Air 1 helicopter to search for the person with the laser.
The pilots who had it pointed at them estimate it was a few miles southeast of Love Field.
On Wednesday night, three pilots flying into Dallas Love Field reported that someone pointed a laser at them.
They each said the green light appeared to come from the same spot about 10 miles southeast of the airport.
A Dallas police helicopter also searched the area around 7:30 p.m., but found nothing.
It has become a big problem because laser pointers are relatively easy to find.
FAA spokesperson Lynn Lunsford said that in the Dallas area there have been 115 laser strikes at pilots in just over 10 months.
Pointing a laser and interfering with the operation of an aircraft is a felony crime. It carries a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a $25,000 fine.
