Mega Millions drawing: Ticket sold in Arlington wins $1 million

While the winning ticket in Friday's $1.22 billion Mega Millions drawing was sold in California, there was another big prize-winner in Texas.

Mega Millions 12/27/24 winning numbers

The winning numbers for December 27 are: white balls 3, 7, 37, 49 and 55, plus the gold Mega Ball 6. 

According to Mega Millions, a single ticket sold in Cottonwood, California matched all six numbers drawn to win the estimated $1.22 billion prize.

In addition to the jackpot winner, there were more than 5.6 million winning tickets across all prize tiers Friday night.  Five tickets matched the five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize; two were sold in California, and one each in Arizona, Missouri and Texas.

Mega Millions 12/27/24 Texas Winner

The $1 million winning ticket in Texas was sold in Arlington, according to the Texas Lottery.

The ticket was purchased from the 7-Eleven at 1315 N Collins Street.

Even if you didn't win the big prize, 472,789 tickets sold in Texas won some sort of prize, according to the Texas Lottery.

Five Texas tickets won $30,000 prizes.

When is the next Mega Millions drawing? 

The next Mega Millions drawing is on Tuesday, December 31. The jackpot resets to its current starting value of $20 million ($9 million cash). There has never been a Mega Millions jackpot win on New Year’s Eve.
