MANSFIELD, Texas - People ran for cover after false reports of an active shooter at a youth basketball tournament in Mansfield, southeast of Fort Worth.
Video shows parents, coaches, and players in a panic Sunday afternoon at Fieldhouse USA. Some ran outside while others ducked for cover.
Police said a coach and a parent were arguing before being asked to leave.
In the parking lot, police said one of the men went to his car and got a gun.
A witness saw the gun and yelled "shots fired" and "shooter," which caused the chaos.
Mansfield police determined no shots were actually fired and no one was injured.

Attendees told FOX 4 about the experience.
"First thing I thought of was helping my daughter and her teammates get out of there to be safe," Noble Sandlin recalled. "When you hear, ‘shooter,’ and you see people running, that’s the first thing you think."
Sandlin was streaming his 15-year-old daughter’s final game of the Heart of Texas Showcase, the national tournament North Texas was hosting.
He and his family went back to Oklahoma because the tournament ended early.

Police called the case a gun incident that escalated into a false narrative about shots being fired.
The report of shots fired was actually someone tripping over a table, causing a loud sound that people thought was a gunshot, police said.
Officers were able to identify the coach and parent involved in the fight, but they haven’t said if either will face charges.
