Man on motorcycle tries to outrun law enforcement, crashes on I-30 and Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie
DALLAS - A man on a motorcycle led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Dallas County Sunday morning.
Just after midnight, a sheriff's deputy spotted the motorcycle speeding down I-30 near downtown Dallas.
The man refused to pull over for the deputy. Instead, he kept driving, until he eventually crashed on the intersection of I-30 and Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie. The motorcycle caught fire and the driver was thrown onto the roadway.
The suspect was seriously injured. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Deputies don't know why the man tried to outrun them. According to the sheriff's department, he reached speeds up to 130 miles per hour.
