Man on electric bike killed in Arlington crash

An 89-year-old man was hit and killed while riding an electric bike in Arlington.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday along New York Avenue near the Tarrant County College Southeast Campus.

Police said the cyclist was hit by a pickup truck while crossing the road.

He died at the hospital.

The suspect and the driver of the 18-wheeler had to be taken to the hospital after the crash, according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.

The pickup truck driver did stop to help and called 911.

No charges have been filed.
