A man who dove into Lake Lewisville to cool off never resurfaced Sunday night.

State Game Warden Cliff Swofford said the 28-year-old man was out boating around 9 p.m. with a woman and her daughter. He wasn’t wearing a life jacket when he went under water.

The woman reportedly jumped in the water with a life jacket to help him, but she couldn’t find him. She and her daughter were rescued by people in another boat.

Divers resumed the search for the man’s body around the area of Oakland Park and Sneaky Petes on Monday.

His name has not yet been released.
