Man dies after crashing into utility pole in Dallas
DALLAS - A man is dead after crashing into a utility pole in Dallas Friday night.
The crash happened at about 9 p.m., near Clarendon Drive and Westmoreland Road, in West Oak Cliff.
Dallas police said the driver was speeding along Westmoreland, before losing control and going across the road and crashing his vehicle into the utility pole.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Oncor crews worked to replace the pole and restore power to the area.
