The driver in a car crash in Arlington that killed an 18-year-old in November is charged with manslaughter, after changing his story.

An arrest warrant affidavit says 31-year-old Blake Cowan was driving 60 miles an hour,  in a 30 mile per hour zone, off Redstone Drive on November 10th.

Police say Cowan struck 18-year-old Alexis Butler,  while she was backing out of a driveway.

Records show Cowan initially told police he was blowing into a breathalyzer when he hit her.

Police say he later said he was bending over to pick up his breathalyzer at the moment of impact.

Cowan has been released from jail after posting bond.
