Man arrested for Oak Cliff triple shooting, fatal apartment shooting
Dallas police say a 19-year-old is behind two nights of gun violence that left two people dead and three people injured.
Police have charged Jacorean Linwood with two counts of capital murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
Surveillance video at the Dream Food Store in Oak Cliff on March 29 shows Linwood assaulting Isaiah Scott.
“It was some sort of turf dispute,” said Major Max Geron with the Dallas Police Department. “The comments that he made to the victim indicated that he didn’t like where he was standing.”
Video shows the men fight. Linwood then pulls out a gun. A man and woman with Linwood help him attack Scott.
“He began shooting at Mr. Scott,” said Geron. “In doing so, he struck not only Mr. Scott, but also Mr. Glen Dancer, a security guard.”
Dancer was shot in the leg and later showed up to work the same day.
The video shows a man, police say is Linwood, fire multiple shots, even inside the store.
One week earlier, Corey Breedlove and Brent Rawls were shot and killed at a southwest Dallas apartment complex. Linwood was pointed out to police by witnesses from the shooting.
“Witness statements led detectives to an apartment in that complex that was connected to these murders where illegal narcotics were confiscated,” said Geron.
Linwood turned himself in to police. He is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
