FORT WORTH, Texas - A man accused of stealing a pickup truck with a child inside is facing more charges.
In addition to child endangerment and theft, Wesley Keith Davidson, 49, is also charged with committing a parole violation and giving a false identity to police.
Fort Worth police say Wesley was arrested Thursday after stealing a pickup truck with a 2-year-old child inside at gas station on Clifford Street. Police say the truck owner left his keys in the vehicle while he went inside the store. The pickup was recovered two miles away, and police say the child was okay.
Initially, police incorrectly identified another man, 53-year-old Jackie Davidson, as the suspect and sent FOX 4 his picture. But when we followed up with Fort Worth PD, they acknowledged their mistakes.
According to police, the confusion began when Wesley Keith Davidson was arrested and gave officers his brother's name.
