Luka Doncic and Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka spoke at a news conference on Tuesday. Some of the key moments include Luka describing how he found out about the trade, his thoughts about his time in Dallas and comments on if he wanted to stay in Dallas. Lakers GM Rob Pelinka also discussed the process with Mavs GM Nico Harrison that led to the trade.
LOS ANGELES - Luka Dončić could suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this Saturday.
Dončić's return to the floor comes after the Dallas Mavericks traded him for a package that included Anthony Davis, sparking the ire of fans.
The Slovenian star has not played since Christmas after suffering a calf injury.
Saturday's game will be against the Indiana Pacers who are led Dončić's former Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.
Dončić was on the bench for Tuesday night's Lakers game, but did not suit up.

Saturday is also the Mavericks' first home game since the Doncic trade.
Dallas plays the Houston Rockets at the American Airlines Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. central.

ESPN announced on Wednesday that they will air the game between the Lakers and Pacers "in anticipation of Luka's debut."
It will also be streamed on ESPN+ and Disney+.
