Irving firefighters battling house fire in freezing temps

Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire in Irving in freezing temperatures Tuesday night.

The owners of the home on Beacon Hill Drive believe the fire may have been caused by a candle. Fortunately, they were able to get out safely.

Despite the below-freezing temps, several firefighters continued to battle the two-alarm blaze into the night with wind chills in the teens. Crews were there to help the firefighters warm with blankets and coffee.

The home is expected to be a total loss. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
